   With cats and dogs in our house; this little vacuum does a good job. The cons- pet hair gets stuck in the front corners and needs to be removed by hand. – Per hair gets stuck in the canister and has to be pulled out by hand! Ugh. – It is not strong enough to pick up small items like a small pebble of dog food. Pros- It is small enough to get into all kinds of spaces!!! – Does an great job of picking up dog and cat hair!!! – It has a long cord! – It is light weight!!

   The Simplicity S60 Spiffy Corded Stick Vacuum was reviewed by Better Homes and Garden and they gave a very good rating as a budget friendly vacuum. I really wanted to give it more than a couple of weeks of use before writing a review, but this is the best vacuum I’ve ever used. It’s not big so it stores easily enough and very light weight (around 8 lbs) so I can easily carry it in one hand to another room. It easily moves between and around objects. It has two speeds but I’ve never used more than the lowest setting and it even sucked up a piece of pretzel! It has a 30-ft cord and HEPA filtration. The canister is easy to empty – hold it over a trash can and push the release button. It’s small size does mean it has to be emptied more frequently but not a big deal. We don’t have any carpeting in the house and it is noted that it’s not designed for carpets. I have a small area rug in my closet and, they’re right, it doesn’t do carpet. We also have many cats in the household so there’s always bits of litter that made it out of the box of course, cat hair, and the vacuum easily picks it up. We also have a 2-story house and the vacuum is light enough to carry up and down the steps with one hand (and I’m not a youngster!). This is an excellent vacuum for hard floors at a great price and I wish I had found it sooner!

   Best little hard wood vacuum ever! The design is sheik and lightweight, long cord that would reach all throughout the rooms makes it so easy to use. The suction power even on the lightest level is absolutely amazing, I swear it would suck the wood off the floor at times!! It has a canister in the front that easily viewable for emptying when full, simply push a button and it opens and the dirt falls out! Couldn’t get any easier than that!! This machine is so durable, I’ve bumped it, dropped it etc and it is still working! Try it for yourself, you will simply be amazed!! It will be the best money you’ve spent in a long time!!

   This is the vacuum that is replacing the first vacuum to replace the prior non-beater bar vacuum that had died after a couple years. This one also does not have a beater bar as I have hardwood floors and the beater bar is not as effective for sucking up dog hair, speaking of suction for this fact oh my God it is out of this world awesome as you can see in the picture the first time using it was where my daughter vacuumed the kitchen dining room living room hallway and both bedrooms it literally filled that cup up all the way with the fur from my two fur babies.

   I am very impressed with this vaccuum. I have carpet and hard wood. About 1500 square ft of living space. I have very long hair, and we have cats. Our last vaccuum was very similar in both size and design. The one I wanted to replace got to be too much of a hassle to clean and lost a lot of suction. Upon opening this I immediately took apart the filters to see how easy it was to take apart and I am so glad its going to be easier to clean than my last one. I chose a brushless because I have long hair and it gets caught in brush rollers, regardless of if it is “self cleaning.” I ultimately decided against a canister vaccuum because the ones rated for carpet had the brush roller. Anyway, it works well on low and is crazy awesome on high, it picks up bigger debris like pine pellet litter, fine dust and tons of cat hair from the carpet. I am pleased with my purchase, I do regard it as light weight.
