   I used to have the basic iRobot roomba and I absolutely hated it. It was extremely loud, crashed into walls and furniture (damaging said items), and would get stuck on a “cliff” (the corner of my thin rug) daily. For the high price and little special features, it was a flop. I got the Shark Matrix on Prime day to replace my dumb Roomba and I am obsessed with it. It’s extremely quiet (to the point that I don’t even know it’s running), maps the room and cleans every square foot that isn’t obstructed, and does a great job of cleaning instead of just kicking dirt around. For the basic Shark, it’s worth the low price. Added bonus…it leaves vacuum lines!! For an OCD clean freak, this, along with how well it actually vacuums every spec of dust, it’s the total package!

   Buckle up, buttercups, this isn’t a short review but it is an honest one. First, the packaging is so thorough and well designed that you could drop the box off a balcony and it would probably be okay. This box is packed better than TSA-approved luggage. Unboxing was smooth and quick – within five minutes of ripping off the tape like it owes me money, the robot was charging and almost ready to go. The robot itself is beefy. Larger than my previous Shark but it also offers better design and suction power. Remarkably quiet despite it’s size and capability. The robot sucked up a ten inch long butcher’s twine and didn’t hesitate to continue. In fact, I’m pretty certain I heard dust bunnies bid farewell to their wives because this Spartan of a robot had arrived. The roller turns to the beat of war drums… war on dirt. Wifi setup was fast and painless, but you do need to be VERY CLOSE for the connection to register. The app is simple and allows spot cleaning, zone definition, and remote commands. For under $200 I am very pleased and will recommend this to anyone who needs a vacuum robot. The age of upright vacuums is over. Rejoice!

   It’s easy to set up, map your house, and get it cleaning! I set it for auto timer so it cleans at the same time every morning! One thing to check off my list!
   It alerts you if it gets stuck somewhere/on something (I forgot to close a door to a room I didn’t want it to go in yet and it got stuck on something on the floor). Easy fix and it walks you through the process on the app.
   With 2 dogs, one who sheds short white hair, this machine is a game changer.
   It’s not extremely quiet, but not loud either. The side sweeper is a nice feature too, it gets baseboards 😊
   If you map then change things around, just remap the house. Easy peasy.
   It stays charged so battery life isn’t an peas.
   I bought this on prime days and it was a great deal.

   Easy setup. I recommend the first charge be overnight. The Matrix motivated me to get everything off of the floor for the mapping process. This dirt is from the space is highlighted in blue – the back hallway and MBR. I was impressed that it picked up a paper towel and pushed out a pair of socks from under the bed. I’m known for how clean I keep my wood floors. Thanks to my Tineco mop/vacuum and the Matrix they are now as clean as people think they are. It easily hops up over the dining room oriental rug with a mat underneath, and the fringe from my BR oriental doesn’t seem to bother it. Round machines just don’t do corners, and it needs about 5” vertical clearance. It is very careful with my wood furniture.

   Ok, I bought this in July 2024 after I purchased a different Shark robot that I loved instantly. This thing was absolutely wonderful until Dec 2024 when it stopped vacuuming everywhere. It would go off the dock, vacuum a little area, then head back to the dock. I called support 3 times over the course of 3 weeks because they kept escalating it. Finally the decide to cover it under the warranty and they sent me a new one. The new one arrived in mid January 2025 and again I loved it. In late February 2025, I noticed it’s now doing the EXACT SAME THING the other one was doing. So now I have 2 of these vacuums break within 8 months. Shark only replaces an item once, even though it’s a 1 year warranty and still covered. So now I have had 2 of these vacuums in less than a year that don’t work anymore and I’m stuck buying a new one. The other model shark (AI I think?) still works great and my 3 year old Roomba still works great. This model just isn’t reliable. Pick anything else

   Have been using for several months now. Brush rollers get stuck every time we use it. Overall works good just frustrating to have to clear the rollers every time.
