   Crumbs and dust are the enemy in my household. I’m constantly sweeping up after my kids eat their snacks, play with Play-doh or track dirt in the house. The hardest thing to clean is when they make crumbs on the couch. We have a cordless stick vacuum that we keep downstairs to use in the bedrooms, but this busy mama needed a smaller vacuum to keep upstairs. Often times, dust buster type vacuums don’t have a lot of suction power, but I was surprised at how well this worked. Because the dust cup is a little small, it worked perfectly to tackle the crumbs and food bits. It was very easy to clean out the dust cup and for added convenience, it’s dishwasher safe! This KitchenAid one is really compact and I keep it on the side of my desk. It has a nice sleek design and comes with a few accessories that I’ll actually use, including a USB charging cable and block. The battery charged pretty fast too. I’m a big fan of KitchenAid and I like that the battery can be used on a variety of their other products. So far, it’s been such a useful clean up tool for me. It’s a good size for my 7 year old to clean his own crumbs too! (*wink*)

   The reason I’m disappointed is because the suction is not great at all. It struggles to pick up crushed walnut cat litter which is super lightweight. The design is easy to hold in your hand, and easy to power on and off. Battery life seems ok for now, but the charging block gets very hot while plugged in to recharge the battery. The attachments are good and useful. Again I’m disappointed. I’d expect better from this brand, even if it had just a little more suction capability. It is portable, it can be used for a car, for the kitchen, bathroom etc. so it’s versatile. Just not as powerful as I expected it to be.

    I like that the power stays consistent. I’ve had other little vacs and they don’t seem to have the same power and length of battery like this one does. And it does have that little power boost when you need it.
