   Product quit working and refuses to charge after being left on the charger for over 12 hrs. Product is 1 month past the warranty and the customer service team refuses to help with any tech issues or questions over the phone, stating my only option is to purchase a new one as they are unable to give any support. Avoid the product and the company as a whole

   I actually collect robot vacuums as one of my hobbies since I love robotics and gadgets. I have them from every major brand you can mention. I do want to say that this particular unit by ihome, is just a fantastic bargain. I purchased mine refurbished as well, because since it’s a hobby I didn’t really care if it was new or not. Well let me tell you, even as a refurbished unit it came packaged just like it was brand new. The only difference is I also opted for the auto emptying power doc as you can see in the photo. This has wonderful suction and it’s very quick and very accurate especially with the lidar navigation. Don’t let this price fool you into thinking you’re getting something that’s not that great because actually this is one of the best values in robot vacuums that I have seen in a very long time and I highly recommend it.

   The LIDAR mapping is really very advanced. Loved that part. My issue was this particular unit was faulty from the word go. It would start but then stop and throw a “FAULT” error. Every. Ten. Feet. Super frustrating. If this thing worked as designed, it would be amazing.

   I’ve had this vacuum for about 1.5 years. Recently it just quit charging and wouldn’t hold a charge. I didn’t use is all the time. This began my hunt for a battery replacement. I ordered one off of vacuum-sale.com that was supposed to be for this vacuum. Nope. I contacted iHome customer service. They don’t sell battery replacements and told me to go to vacuum-sale.com. Needless to say, don’t waste your money on this brand. It’s a money grab. They know there aren’t proper battery replacements and so you have to buy a new product. Planned obsolescence is their business strategy. It’s very frustrating. When the thing did work, it had good suction ask did a good job. The only thing that was an issue was the collection bin would pop off any time it went over a bump in the tile. Stay away from this brand. It’s not worth it. Throw down the extra money and get a Roomba. My uncle has some that are over 15 yrs old and still works. Plus they have accessories for sale.
