   Skip to Pros/Cons for conclusion and evaluation. ***DO NOT BUY if your house is cluttered*** The 30c Eufy Robovac struggles a lot to find its home base…BUT, it Does usually make it back home. For that, i am very happy. Many times i am watching tv in the livingroom with my girlfriend and the robovac is trying to locate its charging base. It will often be within 10ft like in a hallway adjacent to the livingroom, but unable to work its way home from there without turning around and backtracking back into the kitchen for several minutes first. Place the charging base in the center of your house so that the farthest distances from the charging doc are minimized. My situation: The most expensive vacuum cleaner I have ever purchased was around $80. Robotic vacuums always seemed like a luxury/ needless expense. However, as i have less and less time and removed most of the carpet in my house and replaced it with hard floors like wood, plank vinyl, and porcelain tile. I wanted something to capture the dust and small pieces of dirt on the floors if i were to continue walking barefoot. That’s when i began considering a robotic vacuum. I shopped around for about 3wks. I read and watched reviews and opinions on which one was best performing for certain types of flooring (carpeted vs hard flooring), best value, most reliable, internet connected, etc. The Eufy 30c was the one I selected even compared to iRobot, Samsung Powerbot, LG (loved the red color though), Neato Botvac D7 ($699), ILIFE A4s ($149), Shark Ion ($300 but bad reviews), Ecovac Deebot (this would have been my second choice because it was only $199 and had wifi+app, Purelife, and Xiaomi. Why i chose Eufy 30c. – meets my needs of hard floors and medium pile carpet. It has brushes and squeegee like flaps built into its roller brush similar to other higher end vacuums. – Has wifi+app. I really wanted this feature, otherwise i might have gone with the Eufy 30 for only $230 with coupon at the time of purchase. – Has edge cleaning function, can boost its suction when it senses carpet. – long battery life to cover my entire 1530 sq ft single level house. My house is in the shape of the capital letter “T”. – Fit my budget. I could not afford the Irobot 970 or Neato D7. I also discovered that mapping out my house was not necessary to get clean floors. The random pattern does indeed work fine, it just takes longer. Cons: -Doesn’t map out your floor, cleans in a random pattern. -EufyHome App schedule feature only allows you to schedule once per day, but that hasn’t proven to be a problem for me as 1 cleaning per day has given me clean floors. -Struggled to return home. This is the most annoying issue. It only successfully returns home about 25% of the time, but that is likely because the charging doc is located in a big open livingroom on the other end of the house. So most times when the battery is low and it wants to return home, it is so far from the charging doc that it just cannot locate it. Typical behavior if the robovac: drives around for 30 minutes searching for its charging doc, gets about 1 room away from it, then goes farther away into the back of the house again. It always seems to follow edges or walls as an attempt at increasing its odds of getting close enough to the doc to recognize the signal it outputs. I thought the doc and the robovac used wifi at the same time to talk to each other, but that doesn’t seem to be true. Pros: – wifi+app control with scheduling and other cleaning features. Locating function was useful when the robot became stuck on a cable underneath my tv stand with only 3″ of clearance. That app tells the robot to make a series of beeps to help you locate it. – easy to share control of the robot to other smartphones via email invite. My girlfriend has iOS and i have Andriod. – quiet operation, still loud enough to wake you in the morning if it sneaks into your room while you are sleeping, but overall quiet compared to the competition out there (you can watch YouTube videos of the other vacuums i mentioned above. Some sound as loud as a traditional upright vacuum cleaner). – HEPA filter. I have allergies, this was a plus but not a requirement for me. – easy to clean. There is a tool provided to remove the hair from the roller brush. The air filtration system is 3 stages. Mesh, foam sponge, then MERV12 HEPA filter. This was all easy to clean and let dry over a register vent. FYI, you cannot wash HEPA filters like the one included in this unit; buy replacements. – does a good job of getting itself out of situations that i thought for sure would leave the little robot stuck. Good programming and routines for handling different situations. I was impressed while watching it unstuck itself from larger cables and odd situations. Only one was it stick on a thin usb charging cable i had plugged into a wall. – I will admit i like not having to vacuum or sweep anymore. This turned out to save money on buying Swiffer dry cloth pads. But i’m sure the cost in electricity and wearable components will negate those savings. CONCLUSION: -Has many functions and features that more expensive models have. Seemed like the best value at time of purchase. – Majority of reviews reflected a good quality product that was reliable and durable in comparison to other brands. – product cleans edges and corners as advertised and expected. – app functions, but you must use ONLY 2.4g signal when connecting app to robot. Do not use 5g. -Without a doubt, this is not a necessary tool. However, it became a valuable investment as i got older and found my life transitioning from having a lot of time and little money to a lot of money and little time. Therefore, this did not feel like a frivolous purchase to me. I can now walk barefoot in my house and forget about sweeping. I still mop once per week with swiffer wet cloths. Pro tips: 1. Using a hot glue gun, you can cut pieces of the magnetic tape and attach them to objects that eufy gets stuck on. I did this for our kitchen table feet, the two chairs in our livingroom on the ends of our couch that have five legs that are only 1.5″ off the ground to allow the chairs to spin. Otherwise eufy can waste 5 minutes or more trying to get unstuck, thinking it is not stuck but repeating the same dumb motion, or getting stuck completely and needing your assistance.

Super fácil de poner en marcha. Ahora ya está limpiando y es muy fácil de usar. El segundo artículo de este tipo que tengo.    EDIT: It’s been a while now and Navi runs every day! We love it and so does our bird. She squees at it until she can ride it and then she kisses the blue light as it bumps around the living room. (Under supervision, of course.) She looks forward to it every day. As soon as it beeps and starts moving, she starts shuffling and demanding someone put her on it! As they say, “The future is now, old man!” I am not a person who likes to clean. I will avoid it at all costs and do a shoddy job once I do get around to doing it. That said, I have a terrier mix and a long haired chihuahua mix that constantly shed. They also constantly go in and out the back door to our yard which floods and is surrounded by trees so they are always bringing in dirt and leaves on their fur! On top of that, I have a bird who loves to throw food and little kibble bits over the top of her cage just to watch it roll away and under the furniture! Well, a few weeks ago, I had enough of it! I started looking for a modern technological solution and I found it here with Eufy! Yes, I’d looked at Roomba but so many people complained about it being loud and others mentioned how you were really paying for the name brand. I’m not about that life so I looked at alternatives. We found Eufy and saw all the great comments and reviews on it. Hubby and I were skeptical but finally, we pulled the trigger. And oh boy, we could NOT be happier! Because the house was messy, when I first ran it, it was needing to be emptied often and so it reminded me to tend to it often! I ended up naming it Navi as an ode to that ever helpful yet incessant fairy from Legend of Zelda. Navi does not beep so much nowadays but boy does she pick up the mess! She has made the floors so clean, I can just come after her with a wet mop and the floors look better than they have in years. Only thing she doesn’t get is the impossible corners of rooms and areas she just literally can’t wedge in width-wise. I don’t begrudge her that. I just sweep those bits out myself. But she runs up along the walls, using her little brushes to sweep the edge there until it’s clear of debris. No marks on the molding there either. Very gentle. She gobbles up the leaves and flecks of dirt that the dogs bring in and it’s so easy to just mop up the mud when it rains as she literally takes care of everything else! She even circles under and around the birdcage to pick up all the pellets and seed shells! What’s more, she will also go under the furniture to get the bits that roll under there too! I have seen some people had trouble with the drop sensors. We had a slightly similar issue on our black tiles and black rug but we covered the drop sensors (we live in a 1 story house with no way for Navi to fall off anything!) and haven’t had a problem since! Another great thing is she is sooo quiet. I can watch TV and hold a (slightly raised voice) conversation with my husband when she’s going under my feet and cleaning out under the couch! Yes, she’s that quiet, it’s crazy. I read stories about the Roomba scaring people half to death when it starts up in the middle of the night because it’s so loud. I run my Navi in the day and night (we work crazy night schedules sometimes) and she never wakes me up. If anything, my bird gets turbo excited about Navi running around and the BIRD’s squealing lets me know Navi is running if I’m still laying in bed. I can’t tell you how satisfying it is to be able to sleep in on the weekend and still know that house chores are being done! The only thing we needed to do was make sure the dog toys are picked up before going to bed and make sure any wires are off the floor because she can get snagged on them but it’s just good practice to do those things anyway! The battery goes for a long time if you don’t put it on Max and I’m always surprised by how much debris Navi collects by the time she returns to recharge herself. She’s also really good at that mostly, finding her way home. The only time it seems she can’t make it is when we leave the doors to the bedrooms in the back open. Sometimes she struggles to find her way out of the back bedrooms, down the hallway and into the living room in time so we’ve just taken to doing the back bedrooms on different days and shutting her in there while she does her business and then remove her when she’s ready to recharge. She gets around the living room, hallway, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and the closest bedroom on regular days just fine though! But other than that, she is just perfect. We no longer have a dust bunny farm and it’s so easy to clean out her container, clean offer her brushes and set her back to work, I don’t think I could live without Navi now. I hope she runs for a long, long time. We run her every day and I still can’t get over it. Just last night, she kicked on and rolled past me as I was getting ready for bed. I watched her go, toothbrush in my mouth as she headed into the kitchen to begin her day. How cool is that? I’m about to go to sleep and there’s this little robot, quiet as can be, rolling out to sweep up the little bit of flour I spilled earlier that day. Maybe I should’ve named her Dobby. But whatever, I love her. Thanks, Eufy!

   I have been an iRobot Roomba buyer since 2007. My last Roomba bit the dust this month, and I did a ton of research before buying a replacement. I went with the Eufy for a few reasons: price point, cleaning power, quietness, and sleek design. Price: Very reasonable. Almost reasonable enough that I’d consider getting another one for my second floor. For now I’ll just carry it upstairs. Cleaning power: This thing sucks… It’s suction is much stronger than my Roombas have had. It picks up so much dust and pet hair. We do a full vacuum every other week with my Dyson, so I think of the robot vacuum as a supplemental vacuum. I was shocked at how much was in the dustbin after it’s inaugural cleaning! The picture attached to this is from that cleaning. It also gets a ton of dust in the little dust filter. In one of the video reviews I watched, the reviewer said it didn’t pick up anything in that dust filter… So maybe my carpet is particularly dusty, because it has a thick layer after each cleaning. Quietness: I work from my home office, and this thing is quiet enough that I don’t even turn it off during conference calls. This might be the thing I am most impressed with. My last Roomba was LOUD– you couldn’t even have a conversation with someone in the same room, let alone someone on speakerphone. Sleek design: I love/hate this. It definitely looks modern and cool, and more like an art piece than an appliance, but it shows all my finger prints, and now I keep a glasses cleaning cloth nearby so I can rub it down. I suppose if I only use the remote and never pick it up, this won’t be an issue. A few considerations: I was hoping to find a robot vacuum that wouldn’t eat my carpets’ tassels, but I don’t think that vacuum exists. I have only used the Eufy 4 times so far, and it doesn’t always get its brushes wrapped around the long tassels, but it does sometimes. It seems to realize it sooner than my Roomba did at least. The Roomba would sometimes rip gobs of them off in a single cleaning. I try to tuck them under the edge of the rug and that doesn’t seem to bother Eufy. It has pulled off probably 2 tassels so far. The cleaning pattern seems pretty random. I saw some other vacuums that chart out complex maps of your home, and Eufy doesn’t seem to do that. But, it doesn’t seem to matter, because it still hits every spot in the rooms. I’m a little concerned about durability. My Roombas ran for many, many years with easily replaceable parts. We’ll have to see if Eufy has the same longevity. All in all- I’m very happy with my purchase and definitely recommend it!

   The item is excellent. I love its ability to vacuum the entire home. I don’t know if it maps the place out because it just goes where it wants and misses some rooms. Sometimes, it can’t find its base as well. But for the price and the strong vacuum suction, it’s worth it!

   Excelente. Fácil de usar, el precio que se paga vale la pena. Quiero decir que recoge muy bien el pelo de gato, que es para lo cual lo ocupo y que la casa permanezca limpia. Yo lo he usado con el control remoto y funciona muy bien. Prácticamente el ruido que hace es mínimo, yo tengo un bebé y cuando duerme el ruido no lo despierta para nada. Solo no sube a las alfombras peludas pero el piso lo deja muy bien. Estoy muy contenta con esta aspiradora.

   Edit: Support has reached out to make it right, they have replaced the entire unit and the new one is flawless. Does a great job of cleaning, wish it had better objext avoidance but it does a good job regardless.

   Original: Vacuum mode works great but the mop disposal is broken, says “abnormal water level in dirty tank” and refuses to continue.

   So far support has been stone walling me with questions and canned support responses asking for videos of the unit, when the issue is internal while docked.

   Want to love it but can’t even test it properly.

   Edit: Been days since contact and 0 help from Eufy after intial “send us proof” Avoid this product/company and get something reliable since support won’t help out.
