   I call this the magic wand, despite the fact a very different product has appropriated that name. My needs aren’t great, the house rarely gets very dirty. I wanted a light weight, cordless vacuum to clean chiefly dog fur on two floors, one wood and tile, the other carpeted. The Dyson V8 Plus does the job easily and swiftly, sucking up all the dog debris, small bits of paper, food scraps, and any other dirt on the floors. It is so much more convenient than using one of those big, cumbersome, corded vacuum cleaners I used to have. I hated lugging these around, especially up and down stairs. Now I can carry the Dyson just in one hand and never worry about plugging and re-plugging the machine. I had some difficulties at the beginning because the Dyson got clogged. It still functioned, but not well: it pulsed, instead of being smooth. Only when I downloaded the manual did I discover the simple solution to my problem, which was to find and remove the blockage in the tube. Then the Dyson worked like magic. The battery doesn’t last very long under heavy usage, so I clean one floor at a time, waiting about two hours between these tasks until the machine recharges. I’m probably too cautious because whenever I finish a floor, I know I still have some leftover power. It’s not quiet but nor is it especially noisy – and it works so well I can’t complain.

   I LOVE this vacuum. After decades of throwing away other vacuums that would only last a few months before they started losing suction and blowing out smelly air (despite replacing filters and cleaning regularly), I decided to purchase a Dyson. I do not regret my decision one bit! The V8 is so lightweight and easy to maneuver. While the dust collection cup is small, it’s easy to empty and works fine in my small home. So versatile and goes from carpet to hardwood to tile seamlessly with no adjustments necessary. Super durable. I have long hair, a toddler, and a 75 lb dog and a cat and this vacuum handles it all with ease. It picks up dust and dirt, hair, food crumbs, cat litter, leaves… the list goes on. I love the charging rack that holds all the accessories and vacuum. Looks nice in the laundry room. Easy to change out accessories and I’ve used it to vacuum furniture and remove cobwebs from the ceiling and crumbs from my daughter’s car seat and high chair. It’s never clogged or lost suction. The max power option is nice to get dirt from deep in the carpet. Charge lasts a long time. I love that parts can be replaced if they ever stop working, rather than replacing the whole vacuum.

   An amazing vacuum with a lot of power for its size. I just upgraded from a generic Tineco that I’d had since 2021 and this is leaps and bounds better. This has a pre-motor filter that traps a whole lot of excess dust that would clog lower quality vacuums and also reduces the amount of dust that gets pushed back into the air, a problem with many vacuum brands. It works great on tile and linolium as well as 1/2 inch carpet. the beater bar really whips the carpet good and I was floored (no pun intended) when I vacuumed a clean room for a second time and the collection chamber started filling again as it worked another round of junk out of the carpet. Lots of fine fine fine grain dust is being pulled up which is great since I’m alergic to just about everything. I run a pretty clean house so discovering that this cleans better by a noticeable factor is very pleasing. The power on the “low” setting is more than enough and “high” is really just for an emergency deep clean. I haven’t used it myself but all the video tests I researched showed 8-10 minutes of use out of “high”. That’s one thing I’ll give the Tineco is that they appropriately labled it “turbo” which makes people think about it differently. Most people whining in these reviews saw “High” and assumed that is how the vacuum is meant to operate but it’s not. It’s meant for “low” at all times other than dire straights. In the normal “low” setting it gets 40+ minutes of power. I have about 850-900 sqft and it did all of it on 2/3rds of a battery with the last 1/3rd still in reserve. I also have not had any issues with long charging times. I roughly timed it at about 1 hour and 20 minutes. It’s also noticeably quieter than my last vacuum. All in all an excellent tool with excellent performance, well worth the money. 10/10

   If you already own some Dyson products, you know what it is. I got the “used- like new” as it was 290$ vs the 500$ of a new one. I never been a fan of that, and so was rather hesitant to purchase it this way. But I took a chance and received a brand new vacuum that I could only find some usage scuffs on the little additional part for pet hair. Wasn’t even planning on using that part. So I see this as a big win. But as for the vacuum? POWERful suction. Plug in vacuums in general don’t hit this hard. I bought this vacuum because I lived in a house of guys, and the common areas vacuum gets the hell beat out of it, and I wanted something for just my room. Additionally, I have long fiber carpets laid out over the plain carpet of my room, and I essentially just replace the several rugs it takes to cover my room, as after washing them they basically get lumpy and don’t lay flat, every 6 months. I wanted to be able to vacuum my dogs hair off these carpets, and most vacuums get all clogged with the longer fibers of these add on carpets. And it works! It get a crazy amount of dust out of these carpets, wasn’t even aware there was that must dust as I have a Dyson Purifier Hot+Cold. You know when you see some little speck of something on the carpet and the vacuum you currently has takes several passes to snag? And you wonder how much good that vacuum is doing really at all. Well, on my first vacuum with the Dyson, it sucked a dime right off the carpet with power to spare, I mean it jetted that dime so hard it bounced around inside the dust compartment. And setting it on the wall was easy peasy with the instructions, drywall screws. Basically to use a thick nail to make a hole through the drywall (I had to wiggle it around to enlarge the hole) and then you hammer the drywall anchor in (slowly, holding firmly in the middle so it doesn’t bend in half) hammer those in flush to the wall, set your Dyson Wall Mount over it, screw in the provided screws, and I used a lil bit of clear tape to take the cord down the wall in a straight line
