   I’ve always used stick vacs in the kitchen & bathroom. They’re super convenient, lightweight & easy to store. Unfortunately, they also break easily because they are top heavy, fall over easily & the cheap plastic snap enclosures don’t hold up to normal wear & tear. I normally purchase the leading brand of stick vac, however, this time I thought I’d try a different brand & see if it held up any better. Wow, big mistake! I saved only $4 & immediately regretted my decision after the 1st use. It performs on nearly the same level as the leading brand, not sure if that will stay relevant as it ages, but for now, it is comparable. However, I really have to address the nonsensical cord snap. This is the weirdest way of binding a cord that I have ever seen. It doesn’t just snap onto the cord, the way all other vacuum cleaner cords ever have. Rather, it has this little piece of plastic shaped like a figure 8. One end of the figure 8 is attached to one piece of cord & when your done vacuuming, you have to use the other side to fasten the cord into. It’s so ridiculous, doesn’t stay fastened & is awkward to try to fasten while trying to quickly tidy up the house. Additionally, the clip that holds the entire cord in place when not in use, isn’t attached by a screw at all, but rather by two tiny pieces of plastic & the clip snaps off ALL the time & the entire cord comes lose & falls to the floor. Lastly, the cord is not actually round, like on almost everything ever made. So, when winding around the clips to hold it in place, it winds awkwardly & with resistance. As a result of the awkwardly shaped cord, the figure 8 clasp & the holding clip that falls off all the time, I normally spend more time unwinding, winding & fastening the cord, than I usually spend actually vacuuming. Sometimes I wonder who invents this stuff & how it passes quality control. It really doesn’t matter if the vacuum performs well, if the entire rest of the vacuum is trash. The entire product needs to be of a certain quality to be marketable. Anyhow, if you don’t mind cords laying all over your floor because the clips & clasps break or fail, then this trashy vacuum might just be the addition you’re looking for! NOTE: I purchased this exact vacuum, but from a different retailer.
